같은 S5라도 오늘의 실루엣은 조금 다르게 보입니다. 라인이 한 뼘 더 길게 뻗고 리어 삼각의 비율이 안정적으로 느껴지는 건, 이 프레임이 보통보다 살짝 큰 사이즈이기 때문입니다. 😌 사이즈만 달라도 전체 인상이 달라집니다.

구동계는 SRAM RED XPLR AXS 1×. 요즘 로드에서도 자주 보이는 구성입니다. 프런트 디레일러가 없어 간결하고, 고른 기어 간격 덕분에 잦은 업다운에서도 리듬을 끊지 않습니다. 현실 경사를 염두에 둔 기어 범위라 일상 코스에서 페달링이 자연스럽게 이어집니다.

휠은 의도적으로 앞 42 mm, 뒤 49 mm 프로파일을 선택했습니다. 업힐과 롤링 지형에서 가볍게 치고 나가기 위한 셋업입니다.

Drivetrain: SRAM RED XPLR AXS 1×—a combo you’re seeing more often on road. No front mech keeps things clean, and the even gear steps help you hold rhythm through constant rollers. The range is set for real-world gradients, so cadence stays smooth on everyday routes.

Wheels were split on purpose: 42 mm up front, 49 mm in back—light on the climbs and lively across rolling terrain.

S5는 느긋한 페이스보다, 어택과 스프린트가 오가는 순간에 진짜 얼굴을 드러냅니다. 일체형 콕핏과 단단한 BB쉘이 페달 압력을 곧장 추진력으로 바꿔주고, 한 번 붙인 속도를 오래 가져갑니다. 산악 구간이 섞인 주말 투어도 넉넉히 소화하지만, 진가는 ‘여기서 더!’를 걸어볼 때 또렷해집니다.

주행 팁: 28~30c 튜블리스 타이어와 넓은 내부 폭이 넓은 림을 조합하면 S5 특유의 단단함이 과하게 날카롭게 느껴지지 않도록 눌러 주어, 엔듀런스 페이스에서도 질감이 매끄럽게 정리됩니다.

The S5 is in its element during surges, attacks, and sprints. The one-piece cockpit and stout bottom bracket turn pedal force straight into speed—and help you hold it. It’ll handle long weekend miles with plenty of climbing, but its character is clearest when you ask for more.

Ride tip: Pair 28–30c tubeless tires with wide internal rims to take the edge off the S5’s inherent stiffness. You keep the speed and smooth the feel at endurance pace.
