For 18-19 Rover Ruckus, thousands of robots are now ready for launch. Before the regionals, pre-matches between teams help both teams by sharing the feedback and tips, eventually finding the solutions for the problems altogether. Team Shatterdome highly values Gracious Professionalism, which is sharing the outcome of the team's efforts and passion of the season. For the teams that have difficulties to physically meet for the practice matches, video call-based matches will be the perfect rehearsal. Moreover, Korea only has the final match without regionals, so we deeply need keen contacts with other teams and pre-matches. Now, Team Shatterdome #8338 initiates this chance by inviting you to the SSG: Shatterdome Screen Game!

The SSG will thus be held by video calls, and the match will start at the same time; although not due to the delay, both teams will strictly keep the game time. To join, please fill out the google form below, and send facebook message directly. No matter where you are from, we highly appreciate your participation. After sharing the current status of both robots and deciding the dates, the match will soon begin. PLEASE join SSG! (It will be a lot of fun!) Happy birthday, Hangul!

Hangul celebrates its 575th birthday. The attached image reads Team Shatterdome, written in an adorned style of Hangul.

한글, romanticized as Hangul, is a phonetic system in which the Korean language is written. Promulgated in the year of 1443 by Korea’s acclaimed monarch, King Sejong the Great, Hangul remains to be one of Korea’s proudest assets. Hangul is first named as 훈민정음, or Hunminjeongeum (The Proper Sounds for the Instruction of People), containing the spirit of virtuous scholars of medieval Korea: revering the people. King Sejong believed that the use of Chinese characters resulted in the high illiteracy rate. It required an unreasonable amount of time for normal farmers to learn thousands of characters. On the other hand, Hangul comprised of only 28 characters (now 24), making it easy for learners to understand and practice the system quickly.
