World Premiere
79th Festival de Cannes
Immersive Competition
After years in an Indonesian prison, Popi returns to his coastal village only to find his wife has moved on and started a new family. Adrift in his own life, he takes to the waters of the Celebes Sea, seeking solace and purpose. His solitary journey takes a surreal turn when he rescues a stranded Indonesian coast guard, stumbles upon a hidden trove of gold, and comes face-to-face with a wounded mermaid.

We are honored to announce that YELLOWFIN, directed by E del Mundo, will have its World Premiere in the Immersive Competition of the 79th Festival de Cannes.
