Nzwani

Is a picturesque island on the Indian Ocean. This island, like the other
archipelago of islands in Comoros, arose because of the volcanic
activity. By the French, this island is also referred to as Anjouan. Due
to the picturesque quality of the island, Nzwani is also named as the pearl of Indian Ocean. This island has proved to be one of the major tourist destinations of Comoros.



The main international airport of Comoros lies in the capital city of
Moroni. The city also has a main harbor that connects the place to the
other major islands and islets in the adjoining regions. Nzwani Island
can be reached by ferry service from Moroni.

Mwali

Is the smallest major island in the Comoros archipelago. The island is known for its unspoilt beaches and its friendly population. The mountainous interiors reveals the wonders of the equatorial tropics.
The Indian Ocean island of Mwali in Comoros is one of the few places in the world where the 'Dhow' is still built. The dhow is a kind of sail boat. The construction of the dhow is unique in its Arabic engineering design. The traveler observing the construction of the Arab sail boats would be amazed to discover that the same water vessel design helped the Arabs to leave their desert shores and reach different parts of Africa and Asia. Most of the dhow building activity is concentrated on Fomboni beach.
