Let's pray...
Almighty God, we pray for your strength this day, to overcome our fear and weakness. Help us, O Lord, to overcome discouragements, and conquer unworthiness, that we may be spared the needless battles that are brought on through impatience and selfishness. Lord we believe in Your word towards us; for You are not slack concerning Your promise, as some men count slackness; but You are longsuffering and faithful to the Beloved. You have never failed even one word of Your good promises, but have, in every situation, guided us by Your spirit and filled us with courage! Now bring to our hearts and minds the important things which are needed in preparing life. Help us to use the strength that is given to us for to-day, to let go of yesterday and it’s regrets; relinquish all resentments; and give You our pain. We relish in this present quiet moment, as we wait upon You. Therefore, bless us Lord with the patience needed to wait; the peace to not be moved while we do so, and the hope that will never leave us ashamed as we look to You for everything we need for life and godliness in this present age. Amen
