COOLANT vs WATER
There are three main benefits of using coolant in your car.

• Coolant has anti corrosion properties and so extends the lifespan of the parts in the cooling system by preventing clogging.

• Coolant mixed with water at a ratio of 1:1 has a higher boiling point than water at about 223°F. This means you can survive costly damage in case of an overheating situation.

• Coolant is also an antifreeze much appreciated in winter weather.

If you opt to use water alone, you will not have the benefits listed above. But please note that water also does cooling.
