What started as a training is now becoming a movement:
Our soap making class has grown into peer-to-peer learning, where teen mothers are now teaching each other, sharing skills, and building confidence together. One lady had gotten a 20 liters order and she made a request we make it with the class resources, she equally shared her learning experience so far to the rest of the class.
This is what empowerment looks like: Not just learning… but leading.
From skills → to income → to independence.

Let's hold the candle for the right people and raise awareness that they should shout it to the mountain that the perpetrators did them wrong.

Sexual violence is more than what we often think.
It shows up in silence, in pressure, in everyday situations we have normalized.
This April, we choose awareness. We choose to speak. We choose to act.

In the journey of Skills and Empowerment training , financial knowledge and independency is our core business, its important to break the cycle of doing business blindly with no "maths" behind it because it means saving and balancing finances will lack. The teen moms all agreed that they have not known this all along and with costing class 2.0 they will be better. But their growth has been very immense and beautiful to see especially the IGAS started.

April reminds us: awareness is not enough—action is needed.
In the wake of femicide, we must protect, speak, and stand together.
Be the voice. Be the change.

The past 3 months have been very beautiful and impactful, the start was abit rough as the teen moms had to first unpack their mindset, unpack their past stuck thinking to make space to scale their thought process and break cycles that have stopped them from being their best. They have received space to be able to open up and get skills to look at life with a new lense and with a sense of courage and sense of belonging. .

We need to help spread the information of how period should feel, the pain, the color the hormones and the body changes, to help spread knowledge and help to a woman who has no knowledge of it.

Substance addiction is affecting many young people including teen mothers in our community that we are serving right now, some miss the life skill classes due to incoherency and being too fatigued to just show up.
Prevention is a shared responsibility and community protection is key.
Let us safeguard our girls.

This week wasn’t just about soapmaking
It was about healing, skills, and second chances.
Our teen mom's took part in a soap-making class, receiving products for personal use and bottles to sell; learning income generation, marketing, and basic financial skills.
We also held a group therapy session led by our therapist Esther, and an inspiring talk by a recovering addiction warrior on self-care, addiction, and prevention.
The ladies continue to show up for themselves, choosing growth and healing one step at a time.
