Empowering women, transforming communities

Slum Child Foundation, in partnership with the Rotary, is proud to be equipping young women from Korogocho with essential life skills that open doors to opportunity, dignity, and self-reliance.

Through mentorship, training, and support, we are nurturing resilience and unlocking the potential of women to become change-makers in their families and communities.

When a woman is empowered, a whole community rises.

Today, Slum Child Foundation Director George Ochieng - Baxtaly had the privilege of officiating a teachers’ training on the prevention of violence against children in schools within Korogocho slums. a project by Slum Child Foundation and PaaMoja Initiative

During the sessions, it became clear that drug and substance abuse remains a major contributing factor —impacting both children and even some teachers. This challenge reinforces the urgent need for a holistic approach that goes beyond discipline to tackle the root causes within our community.

As an organization, we are committed to creating safe, drug-free, and violence-free learning spaces where children can thrive. Together with teachers, parents, and the community, we believe a brighter future for Korogocho’s children is possible. 🌍💙

Excitement Written All Over Their Faces!
What a joy it was to witness the pure happiness and excitement in the faces of our Toto Club children after an unforgettable trip! From Giraffe Centre to Mamba Village, their laughter, curiosity, and smiles reminded us why we do what we do.

These moments mean everything—especially for children growing up in Korogocho. Thank you to everyone who helped make this experience a reality.

Together, we are creating lasting memories and shaping brighter futures.
