โCan I eat carbs for dinner?โ
My answer?Sometimes yes. Sometimes no.
This is not because carbs suddenly become โbadโ after 6 p.m., but because nutrition is far more intelligent than that.
The better questions are:
โข What is your goal?
โข How active has your day been?
โข Are you heading to a night shift?
โข Did you just finish a workout?
โข Are you breastfeeding?
โข Are you trying to lose weight or maintain it?
โข Will you be fasting after dinner?
โข How hungry are you, really?
โข How much are you eating?
Notice something?The conversation isnโt just โCan I have sweet potatoes?โ
Itโs โDoes this meal make sense for my body, today?โ
The same plate can be perfect for one person and completely inappropriate for another.
Thatโs why I donโt teach women to fear foods.I teach them how to make food decisions.
