She asked for a photo—half-joking, a little shy. I was on a different assignment, but I said yes. A quick chat, got her laughing, and in that split second, I took the shot. Real. Quick. Honest.

There’s a quiet magic in meeting strangers—sharing a few words and leaving them with a portrait that reminds them they matter. That’s the beauty of photography: connection in passing.

Last week, thousands of Kenyans marched in Nairobi to protest the Finance Bill 2024, demanding economic justice and transparency. Organized largely through social media, the demonstration, known as , saw participants carrying placards with messages like "The fear is gone! The clouds are gathering," effectively conveying their frustrations.

Despite the significant turnout, Kenyans plan to return to the streets tomorrow to continue their fight against the bill, underscoring their commitment to influencing policy for a fairer economy.

20.06.2024 . Witnessed and photographed a powerful, peaceful protest yesterday as Kenyans rejected the finance bill and high taxes.
