Markings which should be made by stamping, embossing or by spraying onto a form,and can be placed on the following parts or their combinations:-Collar/handle,neck,base,body or even on a steel plate welded onto Cylinder
It should also bear these basic markings:
1.Year of Manufacture
2.Country of Origin and Manufacturer’s Mark
3.Serial Number assigned by Manufacturer
4.Test Pressure in Bars (or MPa) and Hydraulic Test in N/mm2
5.Weight of Empty Cylinder
6.Tare Weight
7.Maximum Filling Weight in Kgs.
8.Gross Weight in Kgs.
9.Manufacturing Standard
10.Identification Mark of Inspection Body
12.Date of First Test(should not be more than eight years)
13.Thickness of Plate in mm.
Check all the Above to ascertain maximum safety before refill.
