Lord God, too many times I have been angry and held grudges in my family. Some of the hurts are deep and go back a long time, even with the people that I should love the most. Grant me the strength in starting to forgive. Even if I cannot find a way to forget all the hurt, at least I can begin to take the first steps of wanting to forgive and begin to pray for the grace to forgive. I know that if I ask for your help, I will begin to be headed in the right direction. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
