Jacob the patriach went to Egypt because of famine. It's easy to find yourself in a spiritual bo***ge for partial or incorrect hearing capacity of God's word. Amos 8:11

JOSHUA 18:1
"And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them."

Joshua led the Israelites to establish a tabernacle of worship on the first day of arriving Canaan, before possessing the land and enjoying the laid up benefits in the land of promise.
The presence of God established in the land then, subdued the whole land for them.
Upon entering the Land of promise, they honoured God first. Honour preceded their inheritance.

But ye, beloved, BUILDING UP YOURSELVES ON YOUR MOST HOLY FAITH, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Man was created by Relational God and therefore, by default man is relational in Nature.
There are Two AXIS of RELATIONSHIPS: VERTICAL which is divine relationship with God and HORIZONTAL which is relationship with creation.
If Vertical relationship is dysfunctional all other relationships are negatively affected.
Church must be a perfect example of true relationship.
