It's natural to try and correct others when they make a mistake, or doing things differently than the way you would have done it. It's even more difficult to control your impulse to show them how much more intelligent you are. The able to recognize and control such impulses in the beginning of developing emotional intelligence.

Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability to recognize one's own and other people's emotions, to discriminate between different feelings and label them appropriately, and to use emotional information to guide thinking and behavior.
