LION.
Communication: Lions use their ears and tails to communicate with each other when hunting. The black tips help lions see other members of the pride in front of them.
Stalking prey: Lions have evolved relatively rounded ears with shaggy fur that helps keep their ears hidden. They can turn their ears from side to side to catch sounds coming from almost any direction, and can hear prey more than a mile away.
Following each other: The black markings may help lions follow each other through tall grass.
Camouflage: The spots act as camouflage, helping cubs to blend into their surroundings to make them almost invisible in bushes or long grass.
Visibility: When a lion twists its ears, the black marks are visible to opponents.
