On Saturday, SHIW represented by Makokha Pius and Abdulmalik Firtz proudly joined over 1,000 participants in the Mental Health Awareness Walk held in Mombasa under the theme “More Good Days Together”.

Co-organised by the County Government of Mombasa, KCPA Mombasa Chapter, and KRCS Mombasa Branch, the event created a powerful platform to raise awareness on mental health and well-being, challenge stigma and discrimination, encourage help-seeking behaviours, and strengthen referral pathways for specialised support within the county.

SHIW was honoured to showcase its ongoing work in promoting mental health and psychosocial support interventions for young people, while also connecting and collaborating with other stakeholders championing mental wellness.

Together, we continue to advocate for a society where mental health matters, support is accessible, and no one walks alone. 💜
