Project: Kikuyu Traditional Alcoholic beverage Branding
Iguthua ndongoria itikinyagĩra nyeki"
Literal meaning: "If the lead sheep limps, the entire flock will go hungry (because they will never reach grazing pastures)".
Context: This proverb compares alcoholics to a limping lead sheep that is weakened by addiction. It emphasizes that a man (the leader of the household) controlled by alcohol cannot lead a healthy life and thus deprives his family of growth and development.
