Ruto is working

1. IMF Board has approved $606 million (KSh78 billion) for Kenya

2. The Board acknowledges the prudent management of Kenya's economy, citing the repayment of the $2 billion Eurobond debt earlier this year.

3. Consequently, there is more market confidence in the economy

4. The Kenya shilling has stabilised against the major currencies, standing at KSh129 to the dollar compared to KSh162 at the beginning of the year

5. Foreign exchange reserves have substantially increased, now standing at $8.5 billion

6. Inflation has reduced to a low of 3.6 per cent, the lowest since 2012

7. IMF Board acknowledged that Kenya's economy is resilient and economic growth is above average
