Your Brokenness Is Not a Disqualification
Moses had a speech impediment.
Gideon was hiding in a winepress from fear.
Peter denied Jesus three times.
Paul persecuted the very church he would one day build.
And God used every single one of them mightily.

2 Corinthians 12:9 says His power is made perfect in weakness.
Not around weakness. In it.
Your limitations are not the reason God cannot use you.
They are often the very reason He can.
Because when you are weak and He moves anyway,
nobody can give the credit to your ability.
All the glory goes where it belongs.

Stop waiting to be less broken before you show up.
He has always used broken things.
Broken bread fed thousands.
Broken alabaster released the fragrance.
Let Him use you. Right now. As you are.

The day I stopped trying to fix myself was the day I finally began to heal.
I came across this verse while I was struggling to move on and grow

“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.” Psalm 138:8

For years, I thought growth meant becoming harder on myself. I believed if I prayed more perfectly, disciplined myself more, hid my weaknesses better, and tried harder to become “better,” then maybe I would finally feel whole. But the more I fought myself, the more exhausted I became.

I was constantly trying to repair every flaw, silence every emotion, and force myself into a version of me that looked strong on the outside but was slowly dying within. I smiled while carrying heaviness. I encouraged others while secretly feeling empty. I looked composed, but deep inside, I was frustrated that I was still struggling with fears, wounds, overthinking, insecurities, and battles I thought I should have outgrown by now.

Then God began to show me something life changing.

Healing was never meant to come from self obsession. It comes from surrender.

God never asked me to rebuild myself with my own hands. He asked me to yield to Him. To stop performing. To stop pretending. To stop carrying the pressure of becoming my own savior.

And honestly, that was difficult for me. Because fixing things made me feel in control. If I could analyze myself enough, maybe I could change myself. If I could push myself enough, maybe I could become worthy. But God was not asking me to strive for worthiness. He was asking me to trust Him enough to let Him work in me slowly, deeply, and truthfully.

Some parts of us do not need punishment. They need healing.
Some struggles do not disappear through pressure. They disappear through God’s presence.
Some changes cannot be forced externally because they must first happen internally.

The day I stopped trying to manufacture transformation and allowed God to build me, I became softer. Kinder to myself. More honest. More dependent on grace.

And strangely enough, that is when real transformation began.

Because God builds differently than people do.

He does not rush the process. He heals deeply. He restores gently. He removes pride, fear, bitterness, and false identities layer by layer. He teaches you that becoming whole is not about becoming perfect overnight. It is about becoming yielded.

I no longer want a life that only looks put together externally. I want a heart transformed by God from the inside out.

And that kind of work takes surrender.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the SPIRIT.”

7 Healing Promises in Scripture to Stand On

Healing is not only physical. Sometimes you need healing in your body, your emotions, your mind, or places in your heart that have carried pain for years. In difficult seasons, God’s promises become an anchor. They remind you that sickness, pain, and brokenness do not have the final word.

Standing on Scripture does not mean pretending the struggle is not real. It means choosing to trust God’s truth even while you walk through the process.
