CIFORD Kenya

Farmers from the RISACI Consortium (a partnership between RIDEP Kenya, SAPAD Kenya, and CIFORD Kenya) successfully concluded a two-day Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS) training at the CIFORD Kenya Women and Girls Resource Centre.
The training equipped farmers with practical knowledge and skills on Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS) formation, organic certification processes, and market access, empowering them to build strong local organic value chains and adopt sustainable farming practices. Through collaboration and shared learning, the consortium is supporting resilient livelihoods, strengthening farmer-led quality assurance systems, and contributing to more sustainable and food-secure communities.

Every great journey starts with one bold step. Today, CIFORD Kenya celebrates a remarkable milestone as 57 resilient young mothers graduate from the CIFORD Ann Down Vocational Centre.
These are women who were once overlooked, discouraged, and told their dreams were out of reach. Today, they stand as a powerful testament that with opportunity, support, and determination, lives can be transformed.
As they begin this new chapter, our Fashion and Design graduates received sewing machines, while our Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy graduates received complete startup kits, including blow dryers, salon sinks, and essential salon equipment giving them not just certificates, but the tools to build businesses, earn a living, and restore hope for themselves and their families.
