Police in Maara have arrested a 54-year-old man following a crackdown at his home, where they found fully grown cannabis plants, a nursery, and 25 grams of ready bhang in his possession. The suspect, Mutembei Njeru, told police the herb was for his personal use—to keep him active, boost his morale, and for medication—insisting he does not rely on hospital treatment or conventional drugs.
