Condolences to Francis, Silvia and Kemboi Chemoiwo

DEATH AND FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT: DINAH TOYOI KIPROP

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Dinah Toyoi Kiprop of Kipkolony Village, Barwessa Ward, Baringo North Sub- County, Baringo County, which occurred on 20th August 2025 at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH). She was a loving daughter of the late Komen Cheptoo and Sote Komen.

She was the beloved wife to Pr. Zacharia Tonje and were blessed with the 9 children namely: Leah Ayabei (Seretunin), Elzeba Komen (Baringo County referral Hospital ), Priscillah Amdany (Kenya Police Service Maimahiu), Isaack Cherop (Keturwo Dispensary), Silvia Cherop (Kachibora/ Cherangany), Francis Cherop (Kachibora/ Cherangany), Daniel Cherop (Kaptilomwo Primary), Jane Cherop (Uasin Gishu Barekeiwo) and Shavine Cherop (Iten /Mindililwo).

She was a cherished mother-in-law to: Joseph Ayabei, David Chesaina, Samuel Chongwo, Damaris Chepkorir, Kemboi Chemoiwo, Purity Chebii, Fridah Rotich, David Kosgei and Cornelius Kigen.

She was sister to: Chelanga Komen, David Komen, late Toiyoi Amdany , Stanley Komen, the late Toiyoi Gideon Kirikiti, Reuben Komen and Stephen Komen.

She was also cousin to the late Toiyoi Kipkulei, Toiyoi Chepchieng, Toiyoi Chesoktoi and Toiyoi Yatich/Kiboiyu. She was a dear sister-in-law to Wilson Tonje, Charles Tonje, the late Talaa Chelanga, Talaa Chepchieng, the late Amdany Cheptumo, Shokwei Kandagor, Gideon Kirikiti, Shokwei Chepsom, Kobilo Chepsom and Priscillah Chelugo.
She was blessed with 37 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.

Family, friends, and well-wishers are meeting daily at her home in Kipkolony Village for funeral arrangements.

A fundraiser to help offset hospital bills and funeral expenses will be held on Tuesday, 2nd September 2025 at her home in Kipkolony Village, starting from 2:00 PM. Mpesa Number: 0717 154 454 – Francis Cherop.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, 4th September 2025 at her home in Kipkolony Village starting at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at the same location.
