The Rotaract Earth Initiative, launched in 2015 by young professionals from the Rotaract community, is a flagship environmental and community service campaign across East Africa. It focuses on tree planting, environmental education, hygiene awareness, and health outreach to combat climate change, promote food security, and improve community wellbeing.
I am glad to have been at the steering wheel for this year's edition as the Chair for D9213 which is the 11th edition, held from 24th to 26th October 2025 at Mount Elgon, Kenya, brought together hundreds of Rotaractors and partners for large-scale tree planting, community sensitization, and sustainable environmental restoration. This edition reinforced the movement’s mission of creating lasting ecological impact and fostering responsible stewardship of natural resources across generations
