Prayer for Parents

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Heavenly Father,
You have entrusted our children to our care.
Give us wisdom to guide them,
patience to understand them,
and love that reflects Your own.
Help us to be good examples in faith,
to teach by our words and actions,
and to raise our children in truth, kindness, and responsibility.
Bless our home with peace.
Strengthen us in times of worry and tiredness,
and help us trust You in all things.
Protect our family and keep us united in Your love.
We place our children and our family
into Your loving hands today and always.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Look down upon me, good and gentle Jesus

while before Your face I humbly kneel and,

with burning soul,

pray and beseech You

to fix deep in my heart lively sentiments

of faith, hope, and charity;

true contrition for my sins,

and a firm purpose of amendment.

While I contemplate,

with great love and tender pity,

Your five most precious wounds,

pondering over them within me

and calling to mind the words which David,

Your prophet, said to You, my Jesus:

“They have pierced My hands and My feet,

they have numbered all My bones.”
