Strengthening Community and Building Sustainable Futures

We are thrilled to share that the 'Mama na Point' Initiative orientation workshop held at Mt. Elgon with the SLDF widows was a resounding success. The project was therefore officially launched with strong support from all our collaborating partners:

ELPA (Elevate Livelihoods Peace and Advocacy) took charge of registration and mobilization of the community.
Horti Grid provided ALV (Managu) seeds and will continue to supply technical information and skills through regional agronomists to support the women.
Saliamo Agri-ventures guaranteed market assurance, ensuring that the produce will reach its intended markets.
Advanta Seeds Africa generously supplied additional seeds for carrots and spinach and will continue to offer agro-care visits throughout the project.

Our collective goal is to empower these women through sustainable agriculture, focusing on African leafy vegetables. Each of the 100 women involved will cultivate a tenth of an acre as part of the 'Mama na Point' Initiative.

We extend a warm invitation to anyone interested in supporting this initiative through additional inputs, crop management expertise, skills training, or by becoming produce off-takers. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of these women and their families.
