If your search for an escape route before understanding why God has you in a particularly dry situation, you unwittingly will prolong your wilderness time. This may cause more hardship, frustration, and even defeat, because you don't understand the season or the place to which God has led you.

If we are to be like Jesus, our character must develop. And to a great extent, the wilderness is God's choice place for this to happen.

To everything there's a season, a time for every purpose under heaven ( Ecc 3:1)
