On Thursday, 24/5/23, we attended the film screening of " THE ONES LEFT BEHIND" and panel discussion of a sensitive and unspoken topic in Japan.

We are proud to say that HoFu was a proud and passionate sponsor of the film, "THE ONES LEFT BEHIND - The Plight of Single Mothers in Japan", produced by film director, Rionne McAvoy, which exposes the lack of government support for single mothers in Japan who are straddling the borderline of poverty. There is no law enforcement in Japan for fathers to provide any child support, leaving Japanese single mothers left to do everything on their to raise their newborns and children; leaving them with minimal employment opportunities as a single mother while juggling their careers and raising their families all on their own.

HoFu 's mission is to hire single mothers as one of our target groups to provide "second careers" to single mothers with full-time employment, employment benefits and a career path to help them regain confidence and hope in themselves and for their children's futures. Yes, women CAN have it all, we just need to provide them the space and opportunities to thrive.

HoFu is all about creating high-quality skincare and haircare products from Japan with those who need up-skilling and opportunities to be included in the decisions and product creation of our HoFu products.
