That morning...
He slipped away quietly, as if still sleeping.
I held his cold body close.
So sad, I couldn't stop the tears.
With trembling hands, I called his name.

When he first came to our home,
He was mischievous, chewing everything.
When I left the house, he'd bark sadly.
I'd hurry home to see him.
When I returned, he'd run around joyfully.

When I sat on the sofa,
he was always right beside me.
Through joyful days and lonely nights,
his eyes spoke volumes without words.
He'd lick my hand, saying “I love you forever.”

When we slept together,
his smiling face looked like an angel's.
Holding him close, I felt pure happiness.
It gave me the strength to live.
And so he became family.

Max's bowl remains untouched to this day.
The pure love he gave me.
He healed my broken heart.
