Location: Brașov - Romania
Duration: 1st September 2026 - 30 June 2027 (10 months).

About the project:
Through this project, we aim to promote Non-Formal Education and the opportunities youngsters have to join European projects such as Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges and ESC volunteering. We‘ll go to schools, help in organizing projects and the ELF festival (see below) and organize activities for the local community, based on your experience and skills.
We do this as a means to spread the values of the European Union, such as social inclusion and active participation, solidarity and diversity, volunteering, sustainability, and participation of people with fewer opportunities among youngsters from the regions of Brașov and Bacău, Romania.

Objectives:
- Increasing the acquisition of soft skills (critical thinking, complex problem solving, innovation, creativity, communication), contributing to the personal and professional development of young people in their communities.
- Improving tolerance and inclusion among the children and young people in their communities, for them to become more open to cooperation among youth from different backgrounds, families and financial situations.
- Personal and professional development of the volunteers, learning how to work with groups, and creating social media content.
* We are aiming to create the ideal fusion between the volunteers (their previous skills, the skills we can train) and the local community of youngsters so we can highlight the solidarity element.

Activities:
- Social media activities & Photo - Video - create visual and written content, managing the organization’s SM accounts.
- Organize workshops and activities for children and young people from the local social centers in in Brașov area.
- Preparing trainings with the following topics: NFE, inclusion / cooperation / multiculturalism, environment and sustainability.
- Ecology campaigns and workshops - raising awareness of a sustainable lifestyle.
- Personal and professional development through theater/ coaching/ movement/ career guidance.
- Promoting and participating in the ELF Festival as organizers.
- Preparing to host the ELF volunteering teams in the summer and collaborating with them.
- Organizing workshops and activities for children and young people from Brașov and surroundings.
- Intercultural activities in the community, collective and group activities.

Profile of the volunteer:
- Strong desire to engage with schools, foster homes, and/or organize
festivals, meet new people, and explore Romania.
- Being responsible and knowing when to be serious and when to lighten up.
- Eagerness to acquire new skills and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Demonstrating flexibility and an open-minded attitude, especially when dealing with challenging circumstances.
- Proficient in English language.
- Not younger than 18 or older that 30 years old on your arrival day.

-Accommodation:
You will be accommodated in a cozy apartment, located in the City Center, an apartment with a fully fitted kitchen, 2 bathrooms, hot water and 2-3 people/room.

- Local transportation: will be provided by the host.

- Financial Support:
Allowance per month - €270 (food + pocket money).

-Travel:
275 Euro provided for international travel (round trip).

Hello, my name is Ameer Hattar, I am 27 years old and I come from Jordan 🇯🇴.
I have always believed that the best way to learn is through new experiences, which is why joining the ESC program has been such a meaningful step for me. Being in Arad has given me the opportunity to see life from a different perspective and meet people with unique stories, ideas, and cultural backgrounds from around the world.
I enjoy every part of this journey, from the activities we take part in to the small everyday moments that make each day different and memorable. For me, this experience is much more than volunteering or traveling; it is an opportunity for personal growth, meaningful connections, and unforgettable memories.
I am excited about everything I will learn and achieve during this experience, and I feel grateful to be part of such an inspiring journey ✨
مرحباً، أنا أمير حتّر من الأردن 🇯🇴، أبلغ من العمر 27 عاماً.
لطالما كنت أؤمن أن أفضل طريقة للتعلم هي خوض تجارب جديدة، ولهذا كانت مشاركتي في برنامج ESC خطوة مميزة بالنسبة لي. وجودي في أراد منحني فرصة لرؤية الحياة من منظور مختلف، والتعرف على أشخاص يحملون قصصاً وأفكاراً وثقافات متنوعة من أنحاء مختلفة من العالم.
أستمتع بكل لحظة في هذه الرحلة، سواء من خلال الأنشطة التي نشارك بها أو من خلال التفاصيل اليومية البسيطة التي تجعل كل يوم مختلفاً عن الذي قبله. بالنسبة لي، هذه التجربة ليست مجرد سفر أو تطوع، بل فرصة للنمو الشخصي، وبناء صداقات جديدة، واكتساب ذكريات وخبرات سترافقني مستقبلاً.

Hello, I’m Sewar, I’m 26 years old and I’m from Jordan 🇯🇴 I have been in Arad, Romania for around two weeks as part of an ESC experience, and I’m really happy to be here 🤍
During this time, I met new people, discovered different cultures, and took part in many nice activities. I really enjoy the opportunity to connect with others and experience new things outside my usual routine.
