Action Against Hunger - Middle East

🇱🇧 | With continued instability and repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement, displaced families and vulnerable communities in southern Lebanon face growing challenges in accessing essential supplies.

With the support of the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF), Action Against Hunger has distributed:

📦 1,198 food parcels to help families meet their nutritional needs.

🧼 682 hygiene kits to support safe sanitation and disease prevention.

🍼 39 baby kits to ensure infants receive the care they need.

But humanitarian aid alone is not enough. We demand unimpeded humanitarian access to ensure all families receive urgent support. The international community must act now—vulnerable families cannot afford to wait.

#لبنان🇱🇧 | مع استمرار حالة عدم الاستقرار والانتهاكات المتكررة لاتفاق وقف إطلاق النار، تواجه العائلات النازحة والمجتمعات الأكثر حاجة في جنوب لبنان صعوبات متزايدة في تأمين احتياجاتها الأساسية.

بدعم من الصندوق الإنساني لِلبنان (LHF)، قامت منظمة العمل ضد الجوع بتوزيع:

📦 ١,١٩٨ طردًا غذائيًا لمساعدة العائلات على تلبية احتياجاتها الغذائية.

🧼 ٦٨٢ حزمة نظافة صحية لدعم النظافة الآمنة والحد من انتشار الأمراض.

🍼 ٣٩ حزمة رعاية للأطفال لضمان حصول الرضّع على الاحتياجات الأساسية.

لكن المساعدات وحدها لا تكفي. نطالب بوصول المساعدات الإنسانية دون عوائق لضمان حصول جميع العائلات على الدعم العاجل. يجب على المجتمع الدولي التحرك الآن—عائلات المجتمع الضعيف لا تستطيع الانتظار.

🚨 Escalation in 🇱🇧🚨 This weekend’s airstrikes hit multiple areas in Lebanon, including Tyre, with one strike just five minutes away from our office. Casualties are rising, and families are suffering.

Action Against Hunger calls for full compliance with international law and the ceasefire agreement, ensuring the protection of civilians, humanitarian workers, and essential civilian infrastructures.

We are concerned about the renewed violence in the region and call on all parties to prevent further conflict and civilian suffering.



🚨 تصعيد في #لبنان 🇱🇧🚨 ضربات جوية هذا الأسبوع استهدفت عدة مناطق، بما في ذلك منطقة صور، حيث سقطت إحدى الغارات على بعد خمس دقائق فقط من مكتبنا. عدد الضحايا في تزايد والعائلات تعاني.

تدعو منظمة العمل ضد الجوع إلى الالتزام الكامل بالقانون الدولي واتفاق وقف إطلاق النار، وضمان حماية المدنيين والعاملين في المجال الإنساني والبنى التحتية المدنية الأساسية.

| Ibrahim, a Syrian farmer, faced immense hardship due to years of conflict, including the loss of land and vital resources. 🇱🇧 | As part of our ongoing efforts to support returnees, Action Against Hunger, with support from the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund, distributed 959 food parcels and 1,000 hygiene kits over the course of two days in the southern suburbs of Beirut. This initiative is part of a broader response addressing urgent needs following the armed conflict. Continued humanitarian aid and a lasting ceasefire are critical to ensure long-term recovery and stability.
