Prince Ermias Sahle-Selassie: The grandson of the last ruling Emperor of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie I. Prince Ermias is the current President of the Ethiopian Crown Council and is active in cultural and heritage efforts. He has visited Jamaica as a special guest for National Heritage Week, meeting with members of the Rastafari community who revere his grandfather as a deity.
• Prince Alemayehu Tewodros: A 19th-century prince who was taken to Britain by force at the age of seven after the Battle of Magdala in 1868. He died in exile at the age of 18 and was buried at Windsor Castle. There have been recent calls from Ethiopia for the repatriation of his remains, a request rejected by Buckingham Palace.
