Compelled-2-Click Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful Alethia for her 50th (Yes 50th) birthday. This woman is twice as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She is a mom, wife, worshipper, and dancer. Who was clearly loved by all who shared their support that day. I'm so glad she chose me to help capture her special day!

We got so many great shots, it was hard to narrow it down to share just these few!

This self-portrait was taken two weeks ago.

I did it with a a friend’s old tripod, and if I'm honest, a fairly entry level DSLR camera I bought four years ago.

The photo has had minimal editing overall. But, if I may so myself, it still looks pretty good.

Why am I telling you all this?

Because you don’t need to have the perfect tools to do something well.

You can do those deliveries with your car.
That restaurant in your home kitchen.
That online business with an ordinary (not so fancy) computer and an internet connection.

If I’m honest, some of my best photos were taken on my phone.

For real, real!

The best tools may make things, easier, faster, even fancier. But you really do not need it to start, or to make progress.

Start with your talent, start with your passion and follow up with a desire to learn.

…And some confidence. That helps.

A healthy belief that you can do this!

I’m not the worlds best photographer.
(Not yet, 😂)

But I love it.
I am constantly improving.

And I’ll continue to step out. You should too!
