25 is the third studio album recorded by English singer and songwriter Adele. It was released on 20 November 2015, through XL Recordings. Following the release and international success of her second studio album 21 (2011), Adele considered quitting the music industry and going out on a positive note. However, she decided to take a hiatus instead and raise her son. During her sabbatical, she suffered from writer's block and rescheduled studio sessions for a new album, fearing she had lost her ability to write songs. In 2013, Adele had a breakthrough and the material that eventually became 25 manifested, with writing and recording continuing through 2015.

Titled as a reflection of her life and frame of mind at 25 years old, 25 is a "make-up record". The album's lyrical content features themes of Adele yearning for her old self, her nostalgia, and melancholy about the passage of time as well as themes of motherhood and regret. In contrast to Adele's previous work, the production of 25 incorporated the use of electronic elements and creative rhythmic patterns, with elements of 1980s R&B and organs. Like 21, Adele collaborated with producer and songwriter Paul Epworth and Ryan Tedder, along with new collaborations with Max Martin and Shellback, Greg Kurstin, Danger Mouse, the Smeezingtons, Samuel Dixon, and Tobias Jesso Jr.

Amid heavy promotion and an anticipated release, the album was released to critical and commercial success. 25 debuted at number one in more than 25 markets and broke first-week sales records in multiple countries, including the United Kingdom and United States; in the US, the album sold 3.38 million copies in its first week of release, marking the largest single-week sales for an album since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking point-of-sale music purchases in 1991. Many journalists regarded the album as having an impact on the music industry by encouraging the public to return to buying physical albums, instead of downloading or streaming.

Popular Dancehall singer Lady Saw whose real name is Marion Hall got saved on Monday, December 14 after she attended the funeral of late Jamaican artiste J Capri.

J Capri, born Jordan Phillips, was laid to rest in an emotional send off Monday at University Hospital of the West Indies (UWI) in Kingston.

23-year-old Capri succumbed to lung infection and accident injuries on December 4 after she was admitted at the facility following a fatal car crash in Barbican Square, Kingston which occurred on November 22.

Scores of Dancehall celebrities attended Capri’s funeral. Alaine, Christopher Martin, Romain Virgo and Cherine Anderson performed at the burial ceremony.

The most notable attendee, however, was Lady Saw who disclosed she would get baptized once Capri’s casket was laid down.

True to her revelation, Saw visited a man of clothe right after Capri’s funeral and was consecrated.

The 43-year-old artiste then took to her official Instagram page where she posted a video showing her getting baptized.

“I’m now washed of all my sins,” she wrote. “I have given my life to God fully and I’m ready to walk with Him and do His work.”

Saw says that God spoke to her while she was at Capri’s funeral.

“God spoke to me. He did so at J Capri service and finished it off in my house. I’m now a new servant of the Lord. All my Dancehall shows will be cancelled because God has called me to work for him now. Glory be to the most high God,” said the Heels On singer.

Lady Saw’s representatives confirmed to Jamaica’s Urban Islandz that the process of cancelling all her shows is underway.

“We already contacted all the promoters for her upcoming shows overseas and locally and instructed them about the new development,” said her rep.

Before acquiring the new status as a woman of faith, Lady Saw enjoyed popularity for her songs which include: Wave X, Chat to Mi Back, Man is the Least, among others.
