Barcelona opened its doors on July 16, as BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY celebrated its 9th edition in the heart of the city! Artists, curators, collectors, and art lovers gathered to celebrate a shared exploration: the constant dialogue between body and urban space.

Through painting, photography, and videoart, 23 artists from 15 countries joined forces in one collective vision. Across two curated sections - MIXING IDENTITIES and FUTURE LANDSCAPES - BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY 2026 became a creative laboratory on identity, transformation, and belonging.
The exhibition moved from the labyrinth to the horizon: from the hidden architecture of consciousness to landscapes without borders, where mind, body, and city dissolve into pure idea. Two sections, one continuous exploration of what it means to inhabit identity, space, and freedom.
