"Luxury is time well spent"

12/02/2026

Tania has been here longer than anyone else.
No one knows Villa Ines like she does.
Its heart, its soul - how it was, and how it has become.
She knows this house like you know a person: what works, what doesn’t, and what should never be touched.
She has seen many people come and go.
Those who loved Villa Ines, my family, our colorful daily chaos, the open doors,
the generosity and the hard work of always trying to do things well.
And then there are those who didn’t understand all this.
And left.
As she always says, laughing: “Villa Ines is not for everyone.”
Tania helped me raise my children.
When Jacopo, the youngest, was crawling,
she was already here.
She’s the only one who truly knows how things should be done: from the house to the kitchen, from events to table settings, from the wardrobe to the cooking classes.
She runs all day, from one place to another, helping everyone.
At the end of the day she’s exhausted, but her smile, strength and sharp irony never leave her. When someone new arrives she looks at them sideways, eyebrow raised.
I’m always optimistic.
She laughs and calls me “Francesca” - only she does - her affectionate way of reminding me that I see the good in everyone, and of quietly protecting me.
Often, with Tania, words aren’t needed.
I think of something and she’s already there, placing it in my hands.
That kind of connection is rare.
Maybe once in a lifetime.
Thank you, Tania, for taking care of all of us.
(Just one reminder: take a little more care of your back -
and let the others run sometimes 🤍)
