It’s just not going to work & why am I even spending time doing it? These are the thoughts of MANY starting out.

The truth is that most of us start the businesses and just never finish. Probably 99% of businesses that started FAIL. Not because the ideas are stupid but because it’s HARD to keep going.

It’s hard to believe that one day it’s going to work when you don’t see progress. It’s hard to not get trapped in the biggest trap of all: perfectionism. It’s hard to kick your own a$$ when nobody’s watching. It’s hard to believe in yourself when there’s still so much left to prove. But it’s even harder to have a dream and see it slowly die.

If you’re starting out, you’ll have negative thoughts. Sometimes you don’t even know you’re having them they just creep onto you in the procrastination mask.

It’s easy for others to say: just do it. It’s not easy to be the one that’s trying and failing and trying and failing. Again and again and again.

But here’s what you could do and here’s what I’m gonna do. Instead of focusing on numbers & success, I give myself a promise that I won’t stop until I make a 100 videos. And even if just one of those videos succeed, I’ll make 100 more.

Maybe for you it’s creating reels or making handbags. Either way, find that little piece of motivation and push yourself. Because motivation comes from DOING, even when it’s your passion. Not the other way around.

Let me know in the comments what’s your 100x goal gonna be ☺️ Let’s support each other 💪

Today was a really tough day. I went to an intense dancing class and it was extremely difficult to quiet the critical voice.

The first part was great & then during the second part I just couldn’t stop thinking how:

▪️I don’t belong here;
▪️I’m making so many mistakes;
▪️Everyone’s so much better;
▪️I’ll never be good enough.

But I am sure I’m not alone with thoughts like these. I’m sure that at least once in your life you have also been challenged & felt like you’ll never get where you want to be. How your goals are too ambitions. How it’s not for you.

I couldn’t snap out of this mindset but I still have time & tomorrow is a new day and a new dance class. So one of the things I’ll do is write more rational thoughts to the ones before.

▪️I don’t belong here;
✔️If I didn’t belong, they wouldn’t have let me to participate in this class. I do belong here.

▪️I’m making so many mistakes;
✔️I am learning something new and you always need to be bad at first, that’s the only way to challenge yourself.

▪️Everyone’s so much better;
✔️There’s people in that class that has more practical experience than me and that’s okay.

▪️I’ll never be good enough.
✔️If I don’t quit and push through, one day I’ll be good enough. I am good enough as a person already. I just need to keep going and keep challenging myself and my skills.

What do you do to snap out of your negative thoughts? 💭

I thought that I hated journaling 👀

But actually I think I just felt overwhelmed by a blank page. I didn't see the point of it. But then I came across CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) & one of the exercises was to compare your negative thoughts to the rational ones.

And now that I've tried lots of things (e.g. gratitude, 5 minute journaling, body scan, emotional dump and even art therapy) all I can say is that I am excited for my mornings and my journaling sessions.

What about you, do you like journaling? ❤️
