Why focusing on music & sound? 🔊
Because they have a powerful effect on our brain. They activate the limbic system, which is involved in processing emotions and controlling memory.
Some of you might not know it yet, but I’m a DJ too.
I’ve always been sensitive to sounds. And before approaching deejaying, I enjoyed this art by creating playlists for my yoga classes. It was (and still is) a kind of meditation.
Creating a conducive sonic journey for practitioners to tap into a deeper meditative state. Through sounds and music, coupled with movement, I enjoy guiding practitioners into a multi-sensorial journey.
During my retreats and in-person events, expect yoga classes & guided meditations with thought-through music & sounds. ✨
Here’s one of my favourite playlists to practice on - 1h 12m of pure flow: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0iJU9ScGveuk8XApD3l6Qz?si=eeb980ac453f4a47 (click link in bio to access it!)

Hello sunshines! ☀
Amongst other things, I decided to start writing. I realised it's actually not my forte, but want to improve in it.
Why? Because I want to voice my experiences and feelings, and find so much purpose in writing out my thoughts. ✍🏻
Topics will range from identity (racial and cultural), yoga, adulting, self-development, minimalism, sustainability, and anything that crosses my mind - really. 💭
This first article celebrates my 5 years of yoga practice by listing out the most valuable lessons yoga taught me in these years.

I hope some of you will find it interesting.
Please feel free to drop a comment or send a message through! I always love to chat and exchange thoughts!
Love and light to you all, xx

What I learnt in 5 years of yoga In September I reached an important milestone: practicing yoga for 5 years. That gave me a good motivation to launch my own website and start with this first blog post. Throughout my entire life, I've never been so consistent in something for so long. So to commemorate my fifth anniversary

Lord of the Dance pose or commonly known on the gram as is one of the first poses that caught my attention for its elegance. Despite looking easy, it combines so many aspects that make it so complex: strength, balance, focus and flexibility.
When I look back at my self-practice, I realize how much I was constantly comparing myself, battling with my ego, wanting to arch as much as possible to flip the grip without listening to my body or respecting its time to open.
Today, I am more patient.
More loving towards my practice and body, in each pose.

As I am concluding my thesis and with that my MSc studies, a significant chapter is coming to an end. With its ups and downs, I still can't believe how fast these years passed by. Yet so many new insights, people met and memories created.
I don't know what the future will bring, but I know I want to continue cultivating my own yoga practice exploring further body-mind connection. I want to invest all myself into what makes my heart full and my mind content.
I want to continue teaching and spread the word of yoga, and make it as accessible and inclusive as possible for every body.
Teaching is giving me joy, passion and discipline. 🎇
For all the practitioners who came, has been coming and will come to my classes... I see you. I feel you. And I want to thank you.
Thank you for allowing me to guide your practice. 🙏🏻
