ECORD IODP

Applications are now open for the ECORD Distinguished Lecturer Programme 📣

This initiative brings leading scientists involved in the International Ocean Drilling Programme (IODP³) to universities and research centres across ECORD member countries, fostering knowledge exchange and inspiring the next generation of Earth scientists.

Lectures will address key scientific challenges aligned with the 2050 Science Framework, including:
🌍 Climate change
🌋 Deep Earth processes
🌊 Earthquake and tsunami hazards
🐠 Ocean health
🧬 The origins of life
…and other strategic research priorities.

📅 Application deadline: 1 September 2026

Selected lecturers will be supported by ESSAC to deliver a series of lectures at host institutions during the 2026–2027 season.
