From scattered fossil bones to a dynamic reconstruction of one of the most iconic mammals of the Ice Age.

This impressive Bison priscus from Central Europe measures 3.85 meters in length and stands 1.90 meters tall. But what you see here is much more than a mounted skeleton.

Every element was carefully studied, prepared, restored and assembled by the Zoic team to recreate the power and movement of a living animal. Particular attention was dedicated to the posture, designed to capture the moment of confrontation between rival males during combat.

For this project we also applied a new natural bone treatment developed to enhance the original colors and textures of the fossilized bones, revealing details often hidden by traditional conservation methods.
