Once in Rome

The 4 of us in there, can you believe it? Friday morning and probably thousands of people jammed between Colosseum and Vatican while we quietly visited this incredible place, in and out, being the only ones there... plus a cleaner mopping the floor!

Since my parents bought a house in Proceno, exactly between the three regions of Lazio, Umbria and Toscana I have been wondering around the area. I never thought I would find so many incredible places, all close to each other, between 15 and 50 mins drive there are villages, archaeological ruins, towns, Renaissance villas, gardens, forests, but also wineries, olive oil farms, artisans...this area is magical and I really hope we will be able convince ant least some of our guests to abandon the so called "highlights" to walk through the same streets and paths and wonder, the same way I have, to this incredible piece of land and meet the incredible people that live here ❤️.
