Today’s second video on the occasion of the will show us the beautiful landscapes of and the enriching traineeship experience of our Master ALA students at the Universidade de Coimbra

The team of ALA Master students were involved in 3 archaeological settings:
- The Roman Forum of Beja --> The city was founded by Julio César after the victory in the Battle of Munda, in 45 BC, was the capital of the conventus pacensis, of the Province of Lusitânia. The internship was organized under the project “Archaeology of the Cities of Beja: where the city meets with its construction”, which a CERAACP team has been developing since 2010

- Tondela – Roman secondary urban settlement --> This urban agglomeration, subjected to archaeological excavations in 2005, is located on a platform bordering the union of three water lines, the Pavia, Asnes and Ribeira de Sasse rivers. Through the exceptional movable estate and the built structures, it allows to understand the process of transition from indigenous contexts to the Roman modus vivendis.

- Idanha-a-Velha --> The former roman Civitas Igaeditanorum, located in road that connected the capital of the roman province of Lusitania Mérida to the northwester of Iberia and its main city of Bracara Augusta, was continuously occupied since it’s foundation in Augustan times.

Thank you very much to Malèk, Wajeeha, Francesco, Dalmiro Aureliano, Walter, Fernanda and all the staff from the University of Coimbra for the excellent video and work!

Don’t miss the last video tomorrow!
