🇮🇹 I FORI IMPERIALI
I Fori Imperiali rappresentano un’importante area archeologica della Roma antica. Si trattava di un complesso di monumenti utilizzati come centro dell'attività politica, religiosa ed economica di Roma antica, realizzati in aggiunta all'antico Foro Romano, oramai insufficiente ed inadeguato a svolgere le sue funzioni originarie.
Il primo Foro fu inaugurato da Cesare nel 46 a.C. e a seguire, tra il I sec. a.C. e il II sec. d.C. sorsero uno affianco all'altro e senza soluzione di continuità il foro di Augusto, il Templum Pacis, il Foro di Nerva e quello di Traiano.

🇬🇧 THE IMPERIAL FORI
The Imperial Fori represent an important archaeological area of ancient Rome. It was a complex of monuments used as the center of political, religious and economic activity of ancient Rome, built in addition to the ancient Roman Forum, now insufficient and inadequate to perform its original functions.
The first Forum was inaugurated by Caesar in 46 B.C. and between the I Century BC and the II Century AD the Forum of Augustus, the Templum Pacis, the Forum of Nerva and the Forum of Trajan were built one next to the other.

🇮🇹 ACCADDE OGGI A ROMA
Il 25 Luglio 315 il popolo ed il Senato romano inaugurano l'arco di trionfo in onore dell'Imperatore Costantino.
L'Arco di Costantino, il più "moderno" fra i tre ancora presenti a Roma, viene decorato con rilievi e statue sottratte ad altri monumenti romani, pertinenti agli Imperatori Traiano, Adriano e Marco Aurelio, a cui viene così assimilata la figura di Costantino a fini propagandistici.

🇬🇧 ON THIS DAY IN ROME
On July 25th 315 AD the people and the Roman Senate inaugurate the triumphal arch in honour of Emperor Constantine.
The Arch of Constantine, the most "modern" of the three still present in Rome, is decorated with reliefs and statues taken from other Roman monuments, belonging to the Emperors Trajan, Hadrian and Marcus Aurelius, to whom the figure of Constantine is thus assimilated for propaganda purposes.
