we are very excited to share with you our latest upgrade and *big* news for us and ‘Chicchi by Marigold’!

since the beginning of February, we've launched a new collaboration with acclaimed master roaster Paolo Scimone, founder of ‘His Majesty the Coffee’. Founded in Monza, in 2013. HMC is one of the leading Italian innovators in specialty coffee.

Paolo's roasting brings out bolder, even more distinct notes in our coffees.

‘Chicchi by Marigold’ has grown a lot since we launched our specialty coffee brand in June 2021. The need for a bigger and more experienced roaster had become evident to us.
we have spend the last half year tasting, talking and meeting with different Italian specialty coffee roaster.
after purchasing samples of their coffees and having them roasting our beans without any guidelines from our side, it was very clear to us that Paolo was the roaster who matched our flavor profile and style.
taking our coffees to a new level 🔥

meeting Paolo in person and seeing how he and his team works, made it immediately clear to us, that Paolo had the special stuff we were looking for.
Paolo is a man who dances to the beat of his own drum, which we love.
And his style of coffee is just like ours: forward thinking, authentic, full of character and complexity.

We first started cupping these coffees in June, carefully selecting the green beans. We roasted each coffee multiple times to find the best expression of each lot, and we couldn’t be more proud!
