🤝🌍 Building global synergies for volunteering and social justice: IGNet meets CCIVS in Palermo!

Today in Palermo, hosted by our partner Associazione InformaGiovani , we had the opportunity to meet with our friends from Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service - CCIVS (Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service).

During the meeting, we presented the ongoing work, core vision, and cross-border initiatives of the IGNet network and the member organizations that compose it.

It was an inspiring session centered on mutual learning and future cooperation, where we:
🔹 Shared our experiences and best practices from across our international network;
🔹 Explored new pathways to strengthen international volunteering as a transformative tool for deep social inclusion, equality, and human rights.

Strengthening equality, rights, and active citizenship across Europe through the framework of the Program. By bridging international volunteering networks and sharing cross-continental expertise, we continue to reinforce global solidarity and create meaningful, barrier-free opportunities for active participation.

🗳🌍 Fostering democracy and engagement: highlights from "Malmö Möts"!

During the "Malmö Möts", a new local event that aims to democracy organized by the city of Malmö, we worked with our partner Malmö Ideella, Europe Direct Lund, Volontärbyrån, and the local non-profit CKC. Together, we hosted a shared exhibition booth in the event's conference area during three inspiring days this June.

Throughout the event, we welcomed a constant stream of citizens, associations, public institutions, and grassroots community actors. It was an incredible opportunity to connect, collaborate, and drive meaningful conversations.

During these three days, we successfully focused on:
🔹 Promoting European pathways: highlighting European opportunities, core values, and open initiatives, directly connecting visitors with current and upcoming activities;
🔹 Empowering civic voices: exploring vital questions about grassroots engagement, volunteering, equality, and social inclusion;
🔹 Building stronger communities: discussing concrete ways to strengthen active participation in society, locally, nationally, and across Europe.
