A woman's dream, with other women

Social redemption through beauty. It is with this idea that, in 2008, I started my journey inside the Zen 2 district of Palermo to convey to women the importance of work and independence and to promote their social and economic integration.

Struck and outraged by the poverty and degradation in which the inhabitants of Zen 2 live, I committed myself to the development of one of the most problematic peripheral areas of Palermo by founding the LAB.ZEN 2 association.

By making available my experience in the field of fashion, I created a school-laboratory that produced, during its courses, clothing accessories, in particular bags. With the sale of the LAB.ZEN 2 bags, he was able to support the expenses and triggered a virtuous cycle to obtain the necessary financial independence.

Mine is a family of merchants who ran historic clothing and tailoring stores in the center of Palermo and beauty is a beacon that guided me.

The LAB.ZEN² bag is beautiful and cared for in every detail: it stands out among many for the preciousness of the high quality fabrics, for the always original combinations of colors and materials, for the accuracy of the ex*****on that testifies to the value of the best Italian tradition of tailoring craftsmanship. On the arm of Caroline of Monaco, Rita Dalla Chiesa and many "stock friends", as I call them, throughout Italy and beyond, LAB.ZEN ² has attracted the attention of the press and television over the years. Sveva Sagramola recently hosted me at Geo & Geo.

With the aim of consolidating my project, I participated in a call announced by the Municipality of Palermo, for the goods confiscated from the mafia and since August 2017 the tailoring workshop is located in via Gerardo Astorino n.6, in San Lorenzo.

A beautiful laboratory, with the highest level of equipment and sixteen modern sewing machines.

In these bright and comfortable premises, I carry out the training activity aimed at disadvantaged groups of the territory, men and women not only from Palermo but also foreigners, offering a workspace that allows the improvement of the quality of life and social inclusion.

A tailoring laboratory capable of measuring itself with the market but which means, in fact, social redemption, appropriation of an identity and affirmation of legality.
