Our first prototype ✏️

It was 2011 when the visionary idea of NEXT transportation system began to materialize. Our founder and current CEO Tommaso Gecchelin was studying Design at IUAV when he started envisioning a system of modular vehicles able to dock together (you can see the first sketches below).

In 2012, Tommaso took this vision to the next level, and presented it as part of his thesis at IUAV. This initial project was undeniably futuristic: the vehicles could vertically elevate while docking. While some aspects have evolved since that initial idea, certain core elements remain unchanged: a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and efficiency.

The pivotal moment arrived in 2015 when Tommaso found an equally ambitious partner in the US, Emmanuele Spera. Together, fueled by determination and creativity, they unveiled a 1:10 scale prototype at Tesla's headquarters in California. That first prototype was created in a garage, and was gradually transforming into a tangible business concept.

We can finally share that we signed the investment agreement for the entry of Paradigma Management Consultancies LLC into our shareholding structure, which will strengthen the already existing partnership with an investment of 2.5 million euros.

Paradigma Management Consultancies LL is a company incorporated in the United Arab Emirates and participated by Paradigma - an Italian incubator which is already our partner - and a pioneering automotive and insurtech group with top experience in Middle East and India, who will be the first leading investor in the company outside Italy.

This new step will allow us to grow even more to revolutionize public transportation, thanks to financial support, a new assembly site in UAE and qualified personnel that will help us with the production of our vehicles.
We are grateful for this new opportunity, and excited for everything that will come… NEXT!
