⛴️ Going big in Bremerhaven!

APM Terminals and EUROGATE just shared plans to turn the North Sea Terminal (NTB) into one of the most modern container terminals in all of Europe.

After 25 years of successful cooperation in Bremerhaven, the plan is to invest €1 billion in a substantial upgrade of the important hub terminal, once all approvals are in place.

Leaders from Maersk, APM Terminals, the City of Bremen, and EUROGATE announced the plans, which include:
➡️ Boosting annual capacity from 3 to 4 million TEU
➡️ Making cargo flows into Germany more reliable and resilient
➡️ Preparing operations for the future – supporting competitiveness

And, the terminal is planned to run on electric equipment and renewable energy, operating zero GHG emissions – a first in Germany.
