Handmade craft, digitally assisted design and playful soft sculptures were among the highlights of this year’s NYC x Design. This year we were struck by the work from Vietnamese-American ceramic studio Vy Voi which nods to the history of Vietnamese ceramics with its porcelain lamps with distinct glazes. The collection’s shapes and streaked, imperfect colours are inspired by natural phenomena, such as sprouting mushrooms, moss on bark and sunlight.
