The latest European Travel Commission Summer 2026 Sentiment Report showstravel confidence at its highest point since 2020, with 82% of Europeans planning a trip this summer. Destinations that feel easy to reach, offer genuine local experiences, and go beyond the usual hotspots are gaining ground in traveler preference, areas where many European destinations are particularly well positioned. Meanwhile, TTG Italia reports softer overall U.S.–Europe bookings, while premium travel continues to perform strongly, suggesting that demand is not fading.
