🧬 From detecting molecular information in standard tissue images to helping clinicians interpret complex datasets, AI could support more precise decisions and help identify patients who may benefit from specific treatments. But clinical use also comes with important challenges: data quality, validation, reproducibility and fairness across diverse patient populations.

🧬 Her Group will explore how mutations in proteins can alter cell behaviour and contribute to human disease, combining cell biology, biochemistry and crosslinking mass spectrometry. With a focus on diseases of the nuclear envelope, Dollie will investigate the nucleus as a dynamic environment that adapts to the needs of different cell types, helping us connect discoveries across scales and shape together the future of human health.
